Duferco Iberia the new spanish energy trading company, was born from the union between the experience of Intraenergia, a Spanish technical consultancy company, and the reliability of Duferco Energia, one of the top 10 operators in the energy industry with more than half a million customers in Italy.
DUFERCO IBERIA
The vision of Duferco Iberia is to take off electricity from renewable assets in the Iberian Peninsula. Electricity is optimized thanks to the spot market (OMIE) and to the future market (EEX). Offtaking can be done both over short and long term contracts.
Development
His experience of more than 25 years in the management of hydroelectric plants and in the provision of technological services to energy producers led to the birth of Intraenergia.
At the beginning of 2011, Intraenergia began representing its first hydropower plant in the Catalonia region in the spot markets. The company started building its own know-how in managing hydro energy, to the wholesale market.
Duferco Iberia is a merge between Duferco Energia SpA and Intraenergia.
Duferco Energia is our Italian Company active in the Italian power and gas retail sector, in proprietary trading in continental Europe, in e-mobility and energy efficiency in the Italian market.
Intraenergia was established in 2011 in Barcelona as an aggregator representative of hydropower plants for the Spanish market.
